Letter from VP of VOW to Senator Kedzie
Ever wonder what the group Voices of Wisconsin is telling legislators in Madison? This was an email sent by Casey Edwards to Senator Kedzie on May 21, 2003. This was after the hearing and before the vote by his Senate committee. It almost sounds like the vote was a foregone conclusion. How would he know that unless a deal was worked out?
Dear Senator Kedzie,
This letter is from Casey Edwards, co-founder and vice-president of Voices of Wisconsin. First at hand, I would like to commend you for the professional meeting that you ran on May 14th. I was very impressed at how you gave every speaker your full attention. Some of the committee members did not do that, and it was noticeable.
Secondly, on that day I submitted concerns about Dr. Aiken, UW-Madison, and DNR contradictions that I presented in a question format. Representative Bies asked for those questions that day, so today I called him as a follow-up to see if anything was done. He told me that an inquiry so to speak was sent to UW-Madison asking for some of the answers. Since then I found out some interesting things from my same source, and I told Representative Bies these today and I feel you should also be informed.
Please ask the top DNR brass--Hauge, and the like these questions:
Ask them everything they know about the mineral block product called Maxi-Rack-2. This product was made by the Blanchardville Co-op. Right when CWD hit the fan in this state they sold out. They made their block out of meat and bone meal (animal by-products) from road killed deer. Yes, road killed deer. This is minor compared to the rest of the story. Hauge and the boys know all about this--don't let them off the hook.
Ask them what they know about the very well to do individuals who brought mule deer into this state and let them go on their 6000 acres to host hunts and let go whitetail to better their genetics. Were these deer from other states? Ask them if these same individuals bought 3000 acres of land in Iowa, and if our DNR contacted Iowa's DNR advising them to watch their activities. Ask them if they think these individuals already brought in and released animals in Iowa.
Ask them if after finding out recently that several 5-6 month old deer were tested positive for CWD in this state, if they will now look into a different theory other than their famed infectious prion theory. The citizens of this state want to know why the invitro theory (doe to fawn) isn't now being considered. They want to know why genetic DNA coding isn't being considered to pass CWD, and why environmental contamination isn't being looked into for setting the weakened immune system stage (tying up copper) for invitro and genetic theories to occur.
Ask them why no-one will "touch" the Baraboo Munitions site to clean up the facility. 8000 acres of contamination, and 1400 buildings. Our DNR wants to burn the buildings---I'm glad I don't live downwind of this site.
Senator Kedzie, I am not wasting your time or your credibility. These questions have to be asked. In my opinion there is a major cover-up going on. I will be forthcoming with more interesting questions for you to ask.
Thank you for your time, you are a class act, and we the people are lucky to have you to turn toward.
Sincerely,
Casey Edwards
